CCHRS - established 1977
On March 11, 1977 Colquitt County hams met for the purpose of uniting local hams and generating interest in Ham Radio. The club was 'to be known as "Colquitt County Ham Radio Society." This was put in the form of a motion, voted on and passed."
CCHRS Stays Active
The hams of CCHRS are involved in Parks on the Air, local nets, members of other clubs, and are active in ham radio in many forms and modes. You can find us on our local repeater WD4KOW (146.790MHz -offset 141.3 tone) on Tuesday nights at 20:30 local time, at our monthly club meetings usually held on the third Saturday, in a park, or playing radio from home.
CCHRS members also hold licensing exams when requested. We use the Laurel VEC to administer the tests which provides a low cost entry into Amateur Radio! Contact us for testing information or for help in how to obtain your first Amateur Radio license! We are flexible and always happy to mentor new hams.

These are the elected officers for 2022. Duncan was one of the first founding members of CCHRS. Robbie was elected as the secretary treasurer on January 14, 2012. Andy was elected as vice president in January 2015. Club officer elections are held in January.
